It’s here! Our online course is here!
Starting on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012, you’ll be able to join me in our 8-week online course Emotional Flow: Becoming Fluent in the Language of Emotions. I’m so looking forward to meeting you there!
Your emotions are absolutely essential to every aspect of your intelligence and perception—yet few of us were ever taught how to work with them skillfully. Join me as I bring bring together new findings from sociology, psychology, and neuroscience, plus my own in-depth work to help you access and flow with every dimension of your emotional life.
First, you’ll learn how to identify your current areas of emotional mastery and difficulty. Then you’ll learn five core Emotional Mindfulness practices to ground yourself, create healthy boundaries, and free yourself from unhealthy emotional behaviors. With this foundation, you’ll be able to engage gracefully with every emotion you have—and learn effortless ways to bring emotional flow and empathic intelligence to every part of your life.
In the years since I wrote The Language of Emotions: What Your Feelings Are Trying to Tell You, I’ve learned so much and deepened the practices that can help you welcome the genius inside of each of your emotions. In our 8 weeks together, we’ll utilize multi-media and the magic of the internet to create a rich (and fun!) learning environment that will support your emotional intelligence and your empathic skills.
Emotional Flow is an 8-week online course, starting Tuesday, March 13th to Thursday, May 3rd:
In this self-paced course, you’ll have access to:
Video learning modules: In each session, I introduce new subjects visually and invite you into that week’s learning.
Audio downloads: Every session includes downloadable MP3s that you can take with you, including quick meditative practices that you can perform any time of the day, wherever you are.
New text materials expanding on the work in The Language of Emotions: If you’ve already read The Language of Emotions, you’ll have plenty of new material to engage with. However, if you haven‘t read my book, you’ll be able to enjoy the course and learn effortlessly alongside your fellow participants.
Journaling and Self-Reflection: Each session includes questions to help you reflect on your own emotional awareness and the support (or lack thereof) you’ve found in our often unempathic world.
Empathic Roundtable: We’ll have an online Forum where we can all interact, and each week includes a question so that you can see how other people approach emotions and social situations. So much of our emotional training is done on the fly (or in secret) that I really love to open up the learning and make it very accessible. We ‘ll do that together!
Live Events: We’ll have three live Skype (or phone) events where you can ask questions live (or send them in by e-mail beforehand). These events are scheduled for March 22nd, April 12th, and May 3rd, all from 8pm to 9pm Eastern Standard Time. To convert to your timezone, convert now.
Can’t make a live session? Don’t worry! Recordings from live sessions will be available for download a few days afterward.
I’ve really worked to make this the most engaging and full-bodied course, and I welcome your participation. We empaths have got to stick together, I’m telling you! Thank you for bringing your emotional awareness and your empathy to a waiting world!

Hello! We’ve had a good question about the timing of the 8 classes.
The 8 sessions are all self-paced. Each new session becomes available to you each Tuesday during the course, and you can work through them whenever you like.
Only the three live sessions are at a specific time: 8pm to 9pm Eastern Standard Time. Everything else is self-paced.
Cheers!
Got my registration in Karla, looking forward to ‘seeing’ you in the class! Cheers,
Layla
Awesome! “see” you next month!
Hello again! Just so you know: This course will be available after the live sessions end in May. Everything will be archived, and you can take the course whenever you have the time. So if you can’t make it for the live version from March 13th to May 3rd, you can still access the course and work through it at your own pace.
Hi! I am so looking forward to this course. I’m telling everyone I know to get their registration in, too! After our week at Kripalu, I realized how much work there is to be done, so I’m in!
Hello from Britain! I’ve just signed up for Emotional Flow and I wondered if anyone else from the UK was taking part?
It’s great to be able to participate even though I live on the other side of the world, I’m very grateful for the opportunity to take part in this online course, this will be my first interactive experience (I’m staying up until midnight on the 22nd March to take part. I’m excited!)
Hello Helen, and welcome to the course! I think there are other people from the UK in the course, because I’ve heard some talk over on Facebook. I’ll ask there and see if you’ll have any country-mates.
Cheers,
Karla
