Entering the Sacred River of Grief
A Community Healing Ritual
Saturday, December 2 to Sunday, December 17, 2023
Online at Empathy Academy
I have often said that we live in a grief-impaired time. Many of us have a very difficult time working with grief, and our funeral rituals are often stripped of their power to bring communities together to heal.
But we haven’t forgotten our grief altogether. You can see our natural ability to grieve in the sudden shrines that spring up after a death in the community or the death of a famous person; something inside us knows how to honor death and loss, and we know how to grieve with each other — in fact, we need each other.
We also need more opportunities to grieve — especially because grief is an essential part of love, and an essential part of the healing we need after loss.
A Community Healing Ritual
I welcome you to an online grief ritual where we’ll learn about the important aspects of good ritual and gather together to mourn in an empathic community.
I’m so relieved to be able to end this year with a grief ritual, and to be able to let go, mourn, and be in sacred space with you.
I’ve been studying and leading healing rituals for over 30 years, and the grief ritual is one of my absolute favorites.
Join me and my Dynamic Emotional Integration® colleagues and ritual guides Sherry Olander and Andrea Watkins for a online exploration of grief that culminates in a 3-day online grief ritual.
